      <bioghist>
         <p>The Booth family was a well known theatrical family in the 19th century. John Wilkes,
                Edwin, and Junius Brutus, Jr. were all actors and had different degrees of success.
                Edwin was a very popular Shakespearian actor who eventually opened up the
                    <corpname>Booth Theatre </corpname>in <unitdate calendar="gregorian" endYear="1869" era="ce" startYear="1869">1869 </unitdate>in <geogname>New
                    York. </geogname> Junius Brutus, Jr.'s acting ability was not as well regarded
                as the rest of his family, or even his wife, <persname>Agnes Booth </persname>who
                was a popular actress. John Wilkes was a successful stage actor who is mostly
                remembered as the man who assassinated <persname>Abraham Lincoln. </persname>
