The Marian Library was established in 1943 by Marianists at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. The library contains a comprehensive collection of materials related to the Blessed Virgin Mary (including books, visual resources, primary source materials, and multimedia) and aims to promote study, research, and devotion. The Marian Travel and Tourism pamphlet collection contains printed ephemera, primarily pamphlets, but also brochures, maps, and guides to Marian destinations in the United States and internationally. The collection includes travel and visitor information for Marian shrines, sanctuaries, churches, and cathedrals, as well as visitor information for towns or regions with travel destinations related to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Some materials in the collection were created for the purpose of Marian pilgrimages, primarily to the Holy Land or Europe. This collection of printed materials documents Marian travel destinations in the United States and internationally.
The materials are arranged in alphabetical order by country, and there is a section for Multiple Destination materials at the end of the collection.

This collection is open and available to the public for research in the Marian Library reading room. The materials are non-circulating.
